TkZip
A GUI Archive Manager for Unix Systems
Alas, TkZip has not been actively under development for the last few years, and the website has been seriously neglected. Development has not stood still, I just hadn't been doing the thorough testing and packaging required for a public release. However, as of 03/18/2008, Version 1.1.6 has been released. Many improvements have been made in interfacing with Windows (particularly in the area of dealing with Cygwin vs native Windows), many bugs have been fixed, and it is now possible to build TkZip as a TclKit/Starpack (which is the version I normally run under Windows). I have been intending to release it under an open source license for some time. I am reviewing current open source licenses to see which I prefer. I'm currently leaning toward a BSD style license. When I have some time for HTML hacking, I hope to bring the web pages up to date. For now, here is a link to the original (and rather dated) TkZip pages , where the new release can be found. -- Bob Woodside - 03/18/2008
